Kyrylo Tkachenko is PhD student at European University Viadrina und Fellow of the trajectories-of-change-program of the Zeit Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. His research deals with the protests of Ukrainian miners between 1989 and 1993 and their claims for national and later regional sovereignty.
